The 4th annual unconference of Women In Agile Open is designed by women, for women. Past attendees have said “I left feeling pampered” and “I almost don’t want to go home!”
Join me on November 2, where I’ll be the guest presenter for The Coin Game, a modified version of the Agile Penny Game, which highlights value delivery and assessing value. This game delivers lessons about Lean concepts such as batch size, value delivery, making improvements, changing team members, self-management, and more.
The Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) has become one of the more popular agile frameworks for large enterprises. Over the past 10+ years, Scaled Agile has adapted the framework to include several helpful development practices like DevOps, Lean-Agile Leadership, and Business Agility.
The Conference is considered the premier Agile event of the year, and provides a week-long opportunity to engage in wide-open interaction, collaboration and sharing of ideas with peers and colleagues within the global Agile community.
The Agile Penny Game has been around for about 10 years. I’m not certain who created the game. I’ve modified it to include lessons about value delivery and assessing value. The game results in learning some lean concepts including batch size, value delivery, making improvements, changing team members, and self-management. This document will outline the rules to play the game, supplies needed, and instructions for facilitating the game.
